Hungry

There is nothing that rivals the exquisite pleasure of sating an addiction. One can feel such an intense hunger, yet having been offered every dish known to man, there exists but one morsel that can fill the belly. When that meal is placed before the starving, there is nothing else in the world but the addicted and their delicacy of choice. Yet, that unique joy which excited the taste buds, the love which brings unequalled pleasure, sadly becomes a bane to the heart that loves it so. Obsession takes over, eyes green with envy, jealousy that knows no bounds. The desire to scratch an itch so intense that arms meant for holding are rubbed red raw, bruised and bleeding. Love becomes the sole purpose of the admirer, each day brings not experience, but the punishment of time; hours waiting for the beloved to return. A day may be spent in the company of so many things, yet the whole time is spent craving just one thing. More love.
